India's 2024/25 domestic season begins with the Duleep Trophy in Bengaluru and Anantapur: here are the latest weather updates, including rain forecast, at the two venues.

The 2024 Duleep Trophy will be held in Bengaluru and Anantapur starting September 5, 2024. Here's what the weather forecast is for the opening day of the tournament.

The Duleep Trophy will be the curtain-raiser for the Indian domestic season, and will feature a number of prominent players. 

Leading up to the competition, there could be some weather concerns in both venues. On Wednesday, a day ahead of the opening day, it was raining in Bengaluru. On Thursday, the opening day of the competition, there's supposed to be some rain forecast too.

Duleep Trophy opener: Weather updates in Bengaluru

There's forecast for rain in the afternoon of the opening day of the game between Team A and Team B. Google predicts a 24 per cent chance of precipitation around 2pm IST, usually the time the second session ends.

 

 

The forecast is more grim on Friday, where AccuWeather predicts a stray thunderstorm in the afternoon. On the afternoon of the opening day, the chance of precipitation sits at 25 per cent.

Duleep Trophy opener: Weather updates in Anantapur

There is similar rain forecast in Anantapur, the venue of the other game between Team C and Team D. On Thursday, there's rain expected from 12pm to 3pm according to Google, with the chance of precipitation at 32 per cent around 2pm. The forecast is gloomier on Saturday, the third day of the match, especially towards the evening.
