The Duleep Trophy started the upcoming Indian domestic season on September 5. Here is a list of changes the squads underwent for the tournament's first round and the replacements named.
Due to injury concerns, the BCCI made a fresh set of changes to the Duleep Trophy squads, naming Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Prasidh Krishna as the latest to be ruled out from the opening round of the tournament.
Kishan is currently nursing a groin injury sustained during his participation in the Buchi Babu Tournament, where he marked his red-ball return in style after being snubbed from a central contract.
"Wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the first round of the Duleep Trophy due to a groin injury sustained during the ongoing All-India Buchi Babu Tournament. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring his condition and working towards ensuring a swift recovery," read a BCCI press release.
Sanju Samson, who was not named among the 61 players in the opening round, has been named as his replacement.
On the other hand, ‘SKY’, who recently expressed his desire for a Test comeback, picked up a hand injury while fielding for Mumbai during the Buchi Babu Trophy, while pacer Prasidh Krishna is nearing his full fitness from a left quadriceps surgery and is currently undergoing rehab.
All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was cleared to play and will be available for selection.
Earlier, Navdeep Saini replaced Mohammed Siraj in Abhimanyu Easwaran’s Team B, while Gaurav Yadav came in for Umran Malik in Team C, captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad. "Siraj and Malik are suffering from an illness and are not expected to be fit in time for their Duleep Trophy fixtures," confirmed a BCCI release.

Ravindra Jadeja, originally named in Team B, was released as well. Although the exact reason wasn't confirmed, it could be due to India's upcoming hectic Test schedule.
