Labuschagne, batting on 44 on the opening day, was trapped in his crease when a Danny Lamb delivery jagged in in the 28th over. It hit his back pad as he tried to steer a delivery, inviting animated appeals from the Lancashire fielders. Labuschagne appeared to walk over and fetch the ball that had fallen by the side of the pitch, but the umpire immediately raised his finger for lbw, with cameras showing that one of the bails had been dislodged as well.
The Glamorgan No.3 wasn’t too happy though; as the Lancashire fielders converged to celebrate, he kept pointing at the stumps and gesturing towards the umpire. Replays couldn’t convincingly show how the bails were disturbed, but Labuschagne looked visibly displeased as he walked off.
Just two weeks ago, Labuschagne was left fuming when a contentious leg-before call off Darren Stevens went against him, with the ball appearing to hit him outside the off stump.
