Watch: Trinbago Knight Riders opener Shaqkere Parris hit a massive six on the roofs of the Queen’s Park Oval during his side’s run-chase against Guyana Amazon Warriors in CPL 2024 yesterday (September 18).

Chasing 149, the Knight Riders lost Sunil Narine early after he perished off Moeen Ali in the second over for a six-ball 11. Gudakesh Motie, bowling the third over, kept it tight to Narine's opening partner Shaqkere Parris, giving just two runs off the first four balls.

On the fifth delivery, however, Parris broke the shackles. Coming from around the wicket, Motie bowled full around off-stump. Parris went down on one knee and hit the ball for a gigantic six over mid-wicket. The ball soared high in the night sky before landing on the stadium’s roofs. The six was measured at 124 metres, making it the biggest maximum of this season.

Parris was eventually dismissed for a run-a-ball 29, including two sixes and as many fours. Tim David (31 not out off 24) and Andre Russell (36 not out off 15) took their side over the line with five wickets and four balls remaining.
