The 2024 edition of the Caribbean Premier League is set to begin on August 29. Here are the overseas players in CPL 2024.
When will CPL 2024 be played?
The latest entrant to the league, Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, will play St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, in the curtain-raiser on August 29 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. The 30-match league stage will run from August 29 to September 29, followed by four playoffs in Guyana between October 1 and 4.
CPL 2024: Team News
After the player draft last month, several teams underwent numerous changes. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots opted for the services of South Africa's Tabraiz Shamsi and Anrich Nortje as replacement signings for Sri Lankan pair Wanindu Hasaranga and Nuwan Thushara, who had withdrawn from this season.
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons signed English wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings to replace Afghanistan all-rounder Azamatullah Omarzai. Recently, Billings led Oval Invincibles to their second successive title in the The Hundred.
In other news, Tim Siefert was announced as Heinrich Klaasen's replacement for Saint Lucia Kings. Klaasen withdrew this year citing a family emergency.
