CPL 2024 captains: Full list of skippers for each CPL team
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons
Brandon King, captain of the defunct Jamaica Tallawahs, will take over as the skipper of the newly unveiled franchise Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. Antigua previously had a CPL franchise named Antigua Hawkbills in the first two seasons but were replaced by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2015.
St Lucia Kings
Faf du Plessis will continue as the captain of the St Lucia Kings for CPL 2024. Having made it into four successive playoffs including two finals, the Kings would be looking to go the distance this time under the leadership of the South African star.
Barbados Royals
Rovman Powell has been retained by Barbados Royals as their captain, having taken over from David Miller who was the official captain of the franchise last year.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
Despite finishing bottom of the table in 2023, the Patriots have kept faith in Evin Lewis, retaining him as their captain. Lewis succeeded Dwayne Bravo in that role in 2023.
Guyana Amazon Warriors
Imran Tahir, 44, led Guyana Amazon Warriors to their maiden title last year. The current title-holders have entrusted Tahir to defend their title.
Trinbago Knight Riders
Kieron Pollard will continue as the captain of previous year’s runners-up Trinbago Knight Riders. His most recent franchise gig came for the Southern Brave, who played the The Hundred 2024 final. In one of his notable performances in the tournament for the Brave, Pollard hit Rashid for five consecutive sixes, indicating he still has the power game in him.
