After a narrow six-run win by defending champions Barbados Tridents over Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL 2020 opener, it’s Jamaica Tallawahs taking on St Lucia Zouks in the third game of the tournament on August 19.

The following five Tallawahs and Zouks players could make the difference for their respective sides, and also to the fortunes of your CPL fantasy teams.

Andre Russell (JT)

The big-hitting all-rounder is one of the most popular names this edition – he’s hit two centuries in the tournament and has a whopping strike-rate of 181.20 after 57 games. He’s also picked up 55 wickets, and his all-round prowess makes him a must-have in your team.

Andre Fletcher (SLZ)

Currently out of the national side, Fletcher, the wicketkeeper-batsman, is a formidable force in CPL, the tournament’s third-highest run-getter. Known to take on bowlers from the get-go, Fletcher was in rousing form in the T10 League last year and stacked up three fifties in five games in the 2019/20 West Indies Championship.

Rahkeem Cornwall (SLZ)

Who doesn’t want to see this man in action! Already a popular name despite just three Tests to his name, Cornwall is a fine T20 bat, as shown last year, when he tonked runs at a strike-rate of 190.97 in CPL 2019. Add to that his crafty off-breaks that can be difficult to score off, and his recent record in the West Indies Championship – he claimed 30 wickets from five games, Cornwall is a complete package.

Glenn Phillips (JT)

The New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman is already a hit in CPL circles after a good season last year, where he smashed 374 runs in 10 games at a strike-rate of 144.96, ending as the edition’s fourth-highest run-getter, also completing 1,000 tournament runs. His exploits at the top for Jamaica could give you some decent points.

Kesrick Williams (SLZ)

The skiddy medium-pacer missed out on a World Cup spot last year, but continues to be part of T20I plans, and would be eyeing another good season with the ball this time. Last year, he snared 12 wickets in ten games, the most for the Zouks, and also played some handy knocks down the order in the Vincy T10 League.
