Since its inception in 2011, the Big Bash League in Australia has emerged as one of the more well-established franchise-based T20 tournaments. While it has slipped down the pecking order a bit over the years in the men's game, the Women's Big Bash League remains one of the best, if not the best, in the game.
For the 2024/25 season , the women's tournament will take place from October 27 to December 1, following the conclusion of the Women's T20 World Cup. The men's tournament will start on December 15, with the final scheduled for January 27.
The player draft for both the men's and women's competitions took place on September 1. International stars who have signed up so far include Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Shamar Joseph, Shadab Khan, Shabnim Ismail, Lockie Ferguson and Laura Wolvaardt, among others.
