South Africa recorded a facile victory over Bangladesh in the first Test match in Mirpur to go 1-0 up in the two-match series - here's the updated World Test Championship points table following the first BAN-SA Test.
South Africa's bowlers did the damage on day one of the match, which began on October 21. Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj and Wiaan Mulder took three wickets apiece to skittle the hosts for 106.
South Africa were then in a spot of bother at 108-6 when they came out to bat, but a superb seventh-wicket partnership of 119 between wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne (114) and Mulder (54) helped rescue the innings, and they scored 308.
Bangladesh fared far better in their second innings with the bat, but that was only due to a lower-order resurgence. After they were 112-6 and in danger of an innings defeat, Mehidy Hasan Miraz (97) and Jaker Ali (58) took them to 307, setting South Africa 106 for victory. Kagiso Rabada starred with the ball, taking 6-46.
The visitors then knocked off their target in a hurry, opener Tony de Zorzi top-scoring with 41 as Tristan Stubbs and Ryan Rickelton took them over the line for a seven-wicket win.

Bangladesh have not dropped any places, remaining in seventh spot. Their PCT, however, has gone down from 34.38 to 30.56. They are out of the race for the World Test Championship final.
