After the post-match interviews, India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur grabbed the trophy to celebrate with her teammates on the podium to cap off an eight-wicket victory, their second Test win this month after trouncing England Women at home a few days back.
Putting the heavy loss aside, Healy, who plays for UP Warriorz in the WPL, displayed an act of camaraderie by capturing the historic moment of India’s triumph on camera. The victory marks India’s first Test win against Australia since the rivalry between the two nations commenced in 1977.
“It wasn’t my camera,” Healy said in the press conference. “I was just pushing the cameramen back. So I thought of giving one of them an opportunity to get up there nice and close. I actually cut out half of the Indian team by accident. So don’t think they will be using that one.”
