Australia won the one-off Test between the two countries last month, and followed it up with a win in the first T20I to take a six-point lead in the multi-format Women’s Ashes, where a Test win fetches four points, while every victory in a limited-overs match fetches two points each.

However, England have managed to claw back to take the T20I series 2-1. After the four-wicket loss in the first game, the hosts clinched a nailbiter at the Kia Oval, by three runs. They also won the third T20I by five wickets in a rain-affected clash. England currently have four points in the Women’s Ashes.
The series between the two sides will wrap up with the ODIs, which begins on July 12. A 3-0 sweep will give England the Ashes, while a 2-1 win will help them draw the series 8-8. However, to retain the Ashes, all Australia need is a draw.
The three games will be held within a span of six days, on July 12, 16, and 18. The first ODI will be held at the County Ground in Bristol, before the action shifts to the Rose Bowl at Southampton. The tour will wrap up with the third ODI at the County Ground in Taunton.
The hosts have recalled Tammy Beaumont, and included Lauren Filer in the ODI squad, after their impressive showings in the Test match. While Beaumont had made a double hundred in the clash, the debutant Filer ended with four wickets. Neither player was picked in the T20Is.
