With Bangladesh at 83-5 after 26.2 overs while chasing 213, Shorna Akter, batting then on three off nine, nudged a ball off pacer Kim Garth at mid-wicket and called for a run. Sultana Joti, at the other non-striker’s end, responded. Annabel Sutherland intercepted the ball and threw it in the direction of wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy, who dislodged the bails in no time. Replays revealed Sultana Joti had neglected to slide in her bat, with the back of her foot down and but not in, and the front of her foot over the crease but not down. A voice, possibly a commentator, could be heard saying “s***, s***” in the background. Bangladesh were reduced to 83-6, with the last three wickets coincidentally falling due to run outs.

Alana King starred for the visitors in their 118-run win with her unbeaten 31-ball 46 at No.9 before claiming 1-12 off her 10 overs with the ball.
