Rain is predicted on the fifth day of the Brisbane Test match between Australia and India. Here are what the various weather forecasts say.
With the series level 1-1, Australia and India came to the Gabba for the third Test of the five-match series. Rain restricted the first day’s play to 13.2 overs after Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to field, over the course of which Australia made 28-0.
On the second day, Steve Smith (101) and Travis Head (152) took Australia to 405-7 by stumps. They were bowled out for 445 on the third morning even as Jasprit Bumrah returned 6-76.
The Australian fast bowlers then reduced India to 51-4 by stumps amidst bursts of rain. They were 167-6 at lunch on the fourth morning, but rain delayed start of play yet again, after the break. Play eventually resumed again, but stopped again with India on 180-6.
