After rain resulted in a near-washout on day one of the Brisbane Test between Australia and India, the weather on the second day isn’t promising either. Here are what the various weather forecasts say.
The series is on a knife edge. India started by winning by a record margin of 295 runs at Perth riding on Jasprit Bumrah’s 8-72 across the match. The hosts handed an immediate counterpunch by winning the next day-night match at Adelaide by 10 wickets, with Travis Head starring with a 141-ball 140.
On the first morning of the third Test at the Gabba, India won the toss and elected to field under overcast conditions, but barely an hour's play was possible. Only 13.4 overs were bowled on day one of the match as it started drizzling and turned heavier later on, forcing the close of play. Australia openers, Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney pushed the score to 28-0.
While rain hasn't interrupted the first session of play on day two at the time of writing, there’s a significant forecast for it for the rest of the day.
