The fifth and final Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy is set to get underway on Friday, January 3. Here's how to watch the match live, including TV channels and live online streaming.
AUS v IND fifth Test: What's the latest team news?
As far as injuries are concerned, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc appeared to be struggling towards the end of the fourth Test, but teammate Alex Carey has said the left-armer will likely push through the pain to take part in the fifth Test.
India pacer Jasprit Bumrah also showed signs of concern after bowling 53.2 overs across both innings in Melbourne, but as of now still looks likely to play in Sydney.
There are genuine selection calls to be made for both sides though, as Australia could toy with the idea of dropping Mitchell Marsh for Beau Webster. Marsh has been in poor form with the bat and fitness concerns mean he has not been a viable option with the ball either.
India need to decide whether to drop or persist with their two underperforming stars in Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, and whether it is best for the team that Rohit opens the innings, given the form of KL Rahul on this tour. Shubman Gill could find a way back in after being dropped in Melbourne, and India will have to decide whether they want to go with one or two spinners in this match.
AUS v IND fifth Test: What's the weather forecast?
The third Test of this series was heavily affected by rain, which forced a draw. The fourth Test in Melbourne had one short stoppage, but not much else. You can find the full weather forecast for the Sydney Test here.
