Alyssa Healy is a fitness doubt for the 2025 women's Ashes Test

Australia will host England for the final match of the women's Ashes series beginning on the January 30 – a one-off day-night Test match at the MCG, the first women’s Test at the ground for more than 75 years.

With series scoreline currently sitting at 10-0, Australia are looking to embarrass England with a clean-sweep series victory. Providing that they win the final T20I tomorrow (January 25), Australia will head to the MCG hungry for a historic series win.

The side last played a Test match in February of last year, crushing South Africa by an innings and 284 runs, with Annabel Sutherland scoring a magnificent double century. England’s last Test match also came against South Africa, where they too were victorious, by 286 runs, with centuries from both Nat Sciver-Brunt, and Maia Bouchier.

The match will take place at the historic MCG, beginning at 3.30 am GMT, as the players gear up for the historic match.

Women's Ashes Test 2025: Australia team news

Cricket Australia announced their 13-player squad for the Test next Thursday during the second T20I.

Captain Alyssa Healy has been included in the squad and hopes to be fit after a foot injury ruled her out of the T20 series. Either way, Beth Mooney will take the gloves having been tidy during the T20I series keeping wicket in the skipper's absence . Recently injured Ash Gardner has also been named in the squad, despite doubts around her involvement in the third T20I.

The star-studded squad blends experience and youth, with the uncapped Georgia Voll expected to make the side if Healy is unable to play. 21-year-old Darcie Brown is one to watch, with the young pacer having taken match figures of 7/68 against Australia last year.

Experienced campaigners, Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Megan Schutt, Sutherland, and Tahlia McGrath will make up a strong side, with young-gun Phoebe Litchfield no doubt eager to turn around her slow start to Test cricket.
