The 2025 edition of the Women’s Ashes started with a 3-0 clean sweep in Australia's favour in the ODIs. The action now moves to the shortest format as Alyssa Healy’s Australia welcome Heather Knight’s England back to Sydney to kick off the 3-match WT20I series.

Ashleigh Gardner and Alana King were the stars for the hosts in the first set of fixtures as the duo helped the hosts steamroll England in the first and the third WODI while the second match was a hard-fought battle, just edged by Australia.

With a 6-0 lead in the Ashes points system (two each for a white-ball win and four for a Test win), Australia only need to win one T20I in order to avoid defeat. Winning two will ensure they win the series, even before the one-off Tests.
