Watch: Australia quick Nathan Ellis bagged a special maiden ODI wicket in the form of Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq in his debut game in Lahore.
Before Ellis made the breakthrough, Imam had notched up a brilliant hundred, becoming the side’s anchor in an increasingly untenable chase, even as others fell along the way. Off the final delivery of the 39th over, Imam made room for himself by moving towards the leg-side, but couldn’t adjust against Ellis’s yorker. The full-length delivery lined up towards the opener’s middle stump, and beat his bat to upset the timber.
Imam looked back at the sight and was distraught at being undone by the pinpoint yorker. Ellis, meanwhile, was ecstatic after having picked his maiden ODI wicket.
