Watch: Kuldeep Yadav was on top form with the ball as India took control of the third and final ODI of their series against Australia at Chennai.

After Hardik Pandya removed the entirety of Australia’s top three, Kuldeep ripped the heart out of Australia’s middle order removing all of David Warner – who was batting at four – Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey. Warner, batting at four for the first time in his 14-year ODI career, was the first of Kuldeep’s victims miscuing a lofted drive to Pandya at long-off. Labuschagne fell in similar circumstances, advancing down the wicket, not getting hold of Kuldeep and finding Shubman Gill at long-off.

The crowning dismissal was that of Carey. Kuldeep fired in a ripping leg break that pitched outside leg stump before turning sharply past a flat-footed Carey to crash into his off stump.

Australian journalist Andrew Wu described the delivery as a “work of art”.

Kuldeep finished with figures of 3-56 to continue his excellent recent run in ODI cricket; since the start of last year, he has taken 27 wickets at 24.07 at an economy rate of 5.17 runs per over.
