The three legs, including a combined 19 matches across all three formats, will kickstart India’s home season in 2023. The year 2022 will end with their ongoing tour of Bangladesh, with the second and final Test scheduled to end on December 26. Just over a week later, India will play the first of their three T20Is against the visiting Sri Lanka side.
Australia’s tour to India is set to go on till March 22, closely followed by IPL 2023, which is tentatively scheduled to begin at the end of March. The Tests against Australia will be part of the World Test Championship, and will serve as a crucial opportunity for both teams to garner points ahead of the WTC final in June.
The second ODI between India and New Zealand will be held in the city of Raipur, which will be hosting its first international match. The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium has, in the past, held IPL matches, and more recently, in the Road Safety World Series.
