Shami, who has been left out of the XI in the tournament for most games in favour os Mohammed Siraj, was given a chance against Bangladesh. He struck immediately with the new ball, dismissing Das with a peach of a delivery to show his class yet again.

On the first ball of his second over, Shami bowled a fuller delivery which swung into the right-hander, who was getting his bat down to it. Das played the original line of the ball and did not account for the late swing, losing his stumps and having to return to the dugout without troubling the scorers.
India, who have already qualified for the final of the tournament, have made five changes to their team for the clash against Bangladesh.
