Virat Kohli slotted at No.4 in team sheet

After much speculation around who would bat where for India, the fans were in for a surprise when their team sheet mentioned Ishan Kishan at No.3 and Virat Kohli at No.4. However, the confusion cleared when Kohli walked out with pads on for the national anthem, and came out to bat at No.3 ahead of Kishan, who batted at No.5.

Rohit uppishly flicked the second ball of the match, off Shaheen Shah Afridi, and was almost caught by a diving Fakhar Zaman at square leg who got his fingertips to the ball but couldn’t hold on.

Shaheen beat Rohit’s outside edge with a seaming delivery in the fifth over of the innings, surprising Kohli, who was watching intently inside the dressing room with helmet on. His eyes widened, almost comically, in anticipation of what he was going to face out in the middle.

Rauf dismissed a well-set Kishan for 82 in the 38th over of the innings when the latter tried to force a short ball through the leg side. Haris then proceeded to give Kishan an ugly send-off that might have been reciprocated had India got a chance to bowl.
