IND vs PAK, 2nd September weather update before the game
*Updated on September 2
The weather.com website predicts 84% rain on the game day. AccuWeather also indicates 85% precipitation on Saturday, with a thick cloud cover throughout, but the chances of a thunderstorm are slim.
Last week, World Weather Online had forecast rain of 102.55 mm on Saturday, which would have made it the wettest day in Kandy in ten days. However, the weather seems to have cleared up, with moderate showers now expected.
Earlier, rain was forecast for Friday night and early Saturday morning, which could have forced a delayed start to the big game. But according to the recent predictions, there is no rain expected on Friday night and Saturday early morning. The showers could be heavy at 8 am local time when there is a prediction of 15.33 mm of rain. It ios expected to get heavier at 11 am, four hours before the match.
But the rain will slow down as the game nears, with a slight drizzle during 2 pm, the scheduled start of play. No rain is predicted after 6 pm local time, and even if the weather forces a delayed start, chances of a washout are slim.
The temperatures during the game will hover between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius.
