Watch: Virat Kohli pulled off an inspired six save on the boundary in the third India-Afghanistan T20I, with the runs snatched proving crucial in a game that went to a super over.
The match swayed to and fro, with India recovering from 22-4 to 212-4 and Afghanistan falling from 93-0 to 107-3 before a half-century blitz from Gulbadin Naib took them to a tied score. In the death overs, as the game got close, it felt as if every run was crucial.
Kohli did his part, turning six into two as Karim Janat launched Washington Sundar down the ground. Leaping at long-on, Kohli knew his landing would take him outside the field of play, and so released the ball just in time.
There was instant applause from the dugout, with a check from the TV umpire confirming that Kohli had pulled off the spectacular.
The match ended up in a tie, as did the first super over. India won the second super over to seal a 3-0 series win.
