After winning the first T20I, the hosts Bangladesh had the upper hand in the second clash when they reached 67-0 in the first nine overs in a run chase of 117. Afif Hossain and Litton Das played cautiously, hitting seven fours and two sixes on a tricky surface at Sylhet to build a steady foundation for Bangladesh.

However, the opening stand was finally broken on the first ball of the tenth over when Rashid grabbed a brilliant diving catch off Mujeeb ur Rahman. Litton attempted to lift the delivery that turned away over the fielder at cover, but he did not account for Rashid’s excellence. He timed his jump to perfection after moving to his right and the ball landed in his outstretched right hand. A dejected Litton had to walk back for a 36-ball 35.

After losing the ODI series to Afghanistan 2-1, Bangladesh bounced back to whitewash the two T20Is.
