Zimbabwe will lock horns against Ireland in an ODI series from December 13 in their backyard. Here are the squads for both teams, including the full team lists for ZIM vs IRE ODIs.

Following the ongoing T20I series as part of 2023 Ireland’s tour of Zimbabwe, the shift will focus towards the ODI leg as the sides will pit against each other in a three-match ODI series. The first match will be played on December 13, followed by the second on December 15, and the third clash on December 17.

Like the T20I series, Harare Sports Club in the capital city of Harare will be the solitary venue for all the encounters.

Ireland have retained their core squad from the T20Is, barring some minor tweaks. Batter Ross Adair, who featured in the T20I squad, won’t be a part of the ODI series as Andy McBrine replaced him for the T20I leg. Talking of the most notable omission, spin-bowling all-rounder Gareth Delany, who was in the group that faced England in September, has been dropped. The encounters will also be the first ODI series led by newly-appointed white-ball skipper Paul Stirling.

The last time both sides played an ODI series was in January this year when a breezy knock of 59 (41) from Ryan Burl, comprising six fours and two sixes, helped Zimbabwe to gun down a DLS-revised target of 214 in 37 overs in the first ODI. Ireland clawed back in the second game courtesy of a 4-38 from Josh Little with the ball before the third game was washed out due to rain. The series ended 1-1.
