World Test Championship final squads: Full team lists for India and New Zealand
The World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand will commence from June 18 at Southampton — here is the full 15-member squad list of both teams for the WTC final.
The first cycle of the World Test Championship will end with a summit clash between India and New Zealand at The Rose Bowl from Friday. The two teams had to trim down their squads to 15 players each, according to ICC rules.
For the New Zealand side, Kane Williamson returns to the side after missing the second Test against England due to an injury. Colin de Grndhomme and Ajaz Patel have been included as well, while Mitchell Santner and Daryl Mitchell, who played the England series, miss out.
The Kiwis have included pacers Trent Boult, Neil Wagner, Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson, and Matt Henry in a pace-heavy squad.
The Indians, on the other hand, have not picked Mayank Agarwal, Shardul Thakur, KL Rahul, Washington Sundar, and Axar Patel in the side. The five travelled with the Indian team as the side will play a Test series against England from August.
Ravindra Jadeja makes a comeback to the side after missing the home Tests against England as does Hanuma Vihari. Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah will be their pacers.
