Australia and India finished as the top two sides during the 2021-2023 cycle of the WTC table and will now fight it out in the Final to decide the winner of the second edition of the tournament.
Australia entered the final as the top-ranked team on the WTC points table, while India are the second-ranked team. The positions are reversed in the ICC Test team rankings, with India being at the top and Australia being number two.
IND vs AUS: Team news ahead of the WTC final
Both teams have injury concerns heading into the marquee clash. India will miss the services of regulars Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah, along with KL Rahul who might have got a game had he been fit. Australia, on the other hand, have been dealt a late blow with Josh Hazlewood being ruled out due to side soreness which he picked up during the IPL.

WTC final: Is there a reserve day?
The final is scheduled to be played from June 7 to 11 at The Oval, London, with June 12 being a reserve day. The previous WTC final between India and New Zealand had gone into the reserve day, with New Zealand winning the game and consequently the first edition of the World Test Championship.
India will be hoping to go one step further this time around and claim the trophy.
