Pakistan unveil new jersey for ICC World Cup 2023: First look of ‘Star Nation’ ODI kit for men’s and women’s teams
Pakistan have unveiled their new ‘Star Nations’ jersey for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Here is all you need to know about it, including where to preorder it from.
In a grand launch ceremony at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore today (August 28), the Pakistan Cricket Board unveiled their new ODI kit that will be worn by both the men’s and women’s Pakistan teams going forward.
The Chairperson of the PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf led the launch event, revealing the new jersey that has been named as the “Star Nations Jersey”. The PCB explained the philosophy behind the new jersey in a statement:
“The Star Nation Jersey signifies more than a mere piece of apparel. It embodies the profound connection between Pakistan’s cricketing heroes and their steadfast supporters. Drawing inspiration from celestial bodies, each star symbolises brilliance, aspiration, and the radiant glow of cricketing achievements. This design philosophy encapsulates the spirit of cricketing excellence, resonating deeply with every Pakistani cricket enthusiast.”

Ashraf echoed the sentiments: “The Star Nation Jersey bears witness to the enduring bond between our cricketers and the passionate fans who stand by them through every match. This jersey encapsulates our rich cricketing heritage and the luminous future that awaits.”
PCB director-commercial Usman Waheed elaborated further: “The Star Nation Jersey isn’t just a uniform; it’s a canvas woven with stories, sacrifices, and triumphs. Each star on this jersey represents the unwavering support of our fans and the radiant legacy of our cricketing heroes. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to ensure that donning this jersey will instil profound pride in every Pakistani.”
