There will be 10 warm-up games ahead of the 2023 World Cup across three cities and four days. Each team will get two warm-up matches to fine-tune their strategies before the main tournament starts.
When and where will the warm-up games be played?
The warm-up matches will be played across four days: September 29, September 30, October 2, and October 3, across Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati.
The ten games are divided across the three cities as follows: four in each of Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram and two in Hyderabad.
Who will India play their warm-up games against?
One of India’s warm-up games will be against a team that has come through the World Cup Qualifier – the Netherlands, while the other will be against the defending champions – England.

The playing conditions for the World Cup allow teams to field all 15 members of their squads during the warm-up matches since the games won’t carry ODI status.
When and where will India’s warm-up matches be played?
India’s first warm-up game will be against England on September 30 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
India will then travel to Thiruvananthapuram for their second warm-up game against the Netherlands, which will played on October 3 at the Greenfield International Stadium.
