The ninth edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be played in Bangladesh, between October 3 and October 20. This will be the last time the World Cup will feature as few as ten teams.

The T20 World Cup Qualifiers are being played at Abu Dhabi at this point. Both semi-finals will be played today (May 5). Ireland will play Scotland first, while the UAE will host Sri Lanka later at night.
The winners of the semi-finals will not only proceed to the final but also to the T20 World Cup. There, they will clash with Bangladesh, who qualified automatically as hosts, along with Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and the West Indies.
The ten teams have been classified into two groups of five teams each, where the matches will be played in round-robin league format. These will be followed by the semi-finals and the final. All matches will be played across the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaha, and the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.
