The 2022 edition of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup will begin on October 1 — here is the full schedule, list of fixtures and match timings for the eighth edition of the tournament.
The eighth edition of Women’s Asia Cup (fourth in Twenty20 format) will feature the seven teams – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the UAE, Thailand, and Malaysia. They will play in a round-robin league format, featuring 21 matches, from October 1. This will be followed by two semi-finals on October 13, and the final on October 15. All matches will be played in Sylhet, Bangladesh – the first 15 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium Ground 2, and the other nine at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
India won the tournament the first six times, in 2004 (in Sri Lanka), 2005/06 (Pakistan), 2006 (India), 2008 (Sri Lanka), 2012 (China), and 2016 (Thailand). Then, in 2018 in Malaysia, Bangladesh beat India in the final to end the latter’s streak.
