India’s Ravichandran Ashwin was able to enjoy a special moment with the bat on day three of the second Test with England as he celebrated his fifth Test century.
Batting in his home city of Chennai, the off-spinning all-rounder went to three figures off the bowling of Moeen Ali, sparking plenty of joy in the crowd but also at the other end.
His teammate Mohammed Siraj – the last man in India’s batting line-up – appeared ecstatic too, having entered the fray when Ashwin was still 18 runs away from a century.
Siraj’s genuine joy and celebration on Ashwin’s 100 is a human moment for the ages 💖

When Ashwin reached his ton, Siraj was celebrating more than the centurion! Too good to see
