James Anderson continued on from his fine performance on day one to finish with a six-wicket haul on day two of England’s second Test with Sri Lanka.
His fifth wicket was a key one, with Niroshan Dickwella falling eight runs short of what would have been his maiden Test century.
In taking his 30th five-wicket haul in Test cricket, Anderson became the oldest quick to take a Test five-for in Asia.
Anderson finished with figures of 6-40 from 29 overs, with 13 maidens included in his haul. His figures were the best by a seamer aged 38 or more in Test cricket in 107 years.
