Sixteen teams will participate in the 2024 men’s Under-19 World Cup, divided into four groups to begin with. The Under-19 World Cup was originally scheduled to be hosted in Sri Lanka, but the suspension on Sri Lanka Cricket by the ICC meant the tournament had to be shifted to South Africa.

India are the defending champions, having won the 2022 edition under the leadership of Yash Dhull. They will begin their campaign on January 20 against Bangladesh Under-19.

ICC men’s Under-19 World Cup 2024: Schedule

Here’s how the 16 teams are divided:

Group A: India, Bangladesh, Ireland, and America
Group B: England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland
Group C: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Namibia
Group D: Pakistan, New Zealand, Nepal, and Afghanistan

The top three teams from each group will progress to the Super Six stage. The top two teams from each group in the Super Six stage will then qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be held on February 11.

ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024: Match timings

All matches will start at 10 am local time, which translates to 8 am GMT and 1:30 pm India time.

In India

The U19 World Cup will be telecast across the Star Sports network, including Star Sports 1 (SD+HD), Star Sports Select 2 (SD+HD) in India. Live streaming can be found on the Disney+ Hotstar app and website.

In UK

The tournament will be broadcast live on the Sky Sports network, including Sky Sports Mix, Sky Sports Cricket, Sky Sports Interactive in the United Kingdom. ICC.tv will live-stream selected matches.

In Australia

While OTT platform Amazon Prime will live-stream the tournament in Australia, the matches won’t be televised in the country.

In South Africa

The Under-19 World Cup will be telecast live on SuperSport, including Supersport Variety 2, Supersport Variety 2 Africa, Supersport Action, Supersport Action Africa, Supersport Cricket, Supersport Cricket Africa in South Africa. SuperSport App will provide live-streaming facilities.

In New Zealand

Viewers in New Zealand can tune in to the SKY Sport television network, including Sky Sport Pop Up 1, Sky Sport 2, Sky Sport 3, Sky Sport 4 to enjoy the tournament. Meanwhile, Sky Now and Sky Go and ICC.tv (selected matches) will live-stream the tournament in the country.

In USA and Canada

Willow TV network, including Willow and Willow Xtra will show the matches live on television, while its equivalent streaming platform Willow TV app will provide live-streaming options in the USA

In Caribbean & South America

ESPN Caribbean will televise the competition in the Caribbean & South America and its digital wing ESPN Play Caribbean will live-stream the matches.

In MENA (Middle East and North Africa)

Criclife Max will telecast the matches in MENA nations, while Starzplay will live-stream them.

Rest of the world

The 2024 U19 World Cup will be live-streamed on ICC TV across the following countries:
