The United Arab Emirates will host Bangladesh for a two-match T20I series from September 25 — here’s the full squad and team list for UAE vs BAN 2022.

The two teams will take part in a short T20I series in Dubai as they gear for the T20 World Cup that will be held in Australia next month. The tour, consisting of two games, will be played on September 25 and September 27.

Bangladesh will also have a training camp in Dubai besides the series against the UAE. The side were originally expected to have a camp in Dhaka, but persistent rain in the country forced the Bangladesh Cricket Board to shift the preparations.

The visitors will be led by Nurul Hasan, who returns from a finger injury. Regular captain Shakib Al Hasan has not been picked due to his participation in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League. Bangladesh have also given a maiden call-up to Rishad Hossain, while veteran Soumya Sarkar, who last played a T20I in November last year, gets a comeback.

After the series, Bangladesh will return to Dhaka, before departing for New Zealand for their tri-series that features the hosts and Pakistan.

The hosts, on the other hand, will be led by C Rizwaan, who was appointed the skipper ahead of the Asia Cup. The middle-order batter took on the duties from left-arm spinner Ahmed Raza in August. Wicketkeeper Vriitya Aravind will be his deputy.
