Watch: India Under-19 quick Raj Limbani picked up two wickets with two brilliant inswingers in the first over of India’s bowling innings against New Zealand in the U19 World Cup today (January 30).

The 18-year-old sent back Tom Jones and Snehith Reddy in the space of five balls with booming inswingers to leave New Zealand on the back foot. Taking the new ball, Limbani struck on the first ball of the chase, sending down a delivery that came back in massively from outside off. Opener Jones hung back in his crease and looked to defend it away but it sliced past him to hit the middle stump.

Four balls later, Limbani was at it again: He sent a full ball to Reddy, who looked to flick it away. However, he did not account for the sharp inswing as the ball came in and hit him on the pad instead. “They do not know how to handle the swing of Raj Limbani”, exclaimed the commentator as the Black Caps lost their first two wickets without scoring any runs.

New Zealand were set a target of 296 after Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz Khan’s brother, scored his second hundred in three innings. It was his third successive fifty-plus knock.
