Both India and Ireland will start off their men's T20 World Cup campaigns with their fixture today at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
India news
India played a practice game here against Bangladesh which they won comfortably. If that match was anything to go by, India might play Rishabh Pant at No.3 and open with Virat Kohli. On the bowling, India will have a choice to make on whether to go with extra batting depth on a bowling friendly venue and leave out a specialist bowler.
Or, they could back their tried and tested combination of six bowlers including Hardik Pandya.
Ireland news
Ireland lost the only warm-up game they played against Sri Lanka in Lauderhill. They have a settled batting unit with the experienced duo of Andy Balbirnie and Paul Stirling at the top, followed a 3-4-5 of Lorcan Tucker, Harry Tector, and Curtis Campher.
Mark Adair will lead their bowling department, which also boasts of Josh Little, the only Irish player with IPL experience.
