The T20 World Cup continues to amaze. Zimbabwe pulled off an incredible heist in Perth, stealing a last-gasp, one-run win over Pakistan in a nerve-jangling Super 12 fixture.
Bet365 will be Live Streaming all of the T20 World Cup matches direct to your iPhone, iPad or Android device, as well as desktop. This means that every T20 World Cup fixture will be available to bet365 customers wherever they are in the world.
It’s just the second time Zimbabwe have beaten Pakistan in 18 T20Is, coming up trumps in the first-ever T20 World Cup meetup between the two sides. The victory took Zimbabwe to third on the Group 2 points table, behind India and South Africa, with three points and a positive net run rate so far.
A topsy-turvy game swung either way right until the final ball – before the last over began, Pakistan required 11 runs, with Mohammad Nawaz and Muhammad Wasim chasing 130. Three runs off the first ball, and four off the next, brought down the equation to four required off four, but Brad Evans held his nerves commendably, hitting hard lengths and giving away just two runs off the next two balls, while also taking the wicket of Nawaz.
Off the last ball – with three required – new man Shaheen Afridi could manage just a single, his attempt to scamper for a second ending in a run out. Wicketkeeper Regis Chakabva struggled with the incoming throw, but managed to recover just in time to beat a diving Shaheen.
As expected, there were reactions aplenty on social media after Zimbabwe’s historic triumph.

I have nothing but admiration for what Zimbabwe have been doing these last few months. What they lack in resources they make up with spirit. You just had to see what someone like Brad Evens did today. Got to love their attitude.

Won’t call the result an upset, if you watched the match you know Zimbabwe played top cricket from ball #1 and showed how to defend a low total on a batting pitch. Congratulations @ZimCricketv on the win, your passion and hard work shows #PAKvsZIM

England & Pakistan seem to be the teams that lose more than others against teams they should beat in World cups … #ICCT20WorldCup2022

Thats embarrassing, to be most polite!

Incredible from #Zimbabwe🇿🇼 who never gave up but #Pakistan must wonder how they lost needing 40-odd at 7 RPO with 7 wkts in hand. They should be top of their group; instead they are relying on others to qualify for the SFs now. That’s the fine margins of T20… #T20WorldCup

Zimbabwe beating the more fancied teams in World Cups has such a good ring to it. This is the “nature is healing” version of the cricket world #T20WorldCup

Congratulations Zimbabwe, came to Perth with a simple game plan and toppled Pakistan. Last ball affairs to much for the team in green. #PAKvsZIM #T20worldcup22

A older cricket writer once questioned me when I said every test playing nation had brought something to the sport. he said, 'Even Zimbabwe?".
Yes. Their moments are rare, and they've had their problems. But when they bring the joy, it is like little else in our sport.

Namibia beat SL, Scotland beat WI, Ireland beat WI, Ireland beat Eng, Zimbabwe beat Pakistan – can’t think of another World Cup (T20I or ODI) with so many huge upsets. Last one on the list is heartbreaking breaking as a Pakistan fan but yeah extremely unpredictable tournament.

In seven attempts Pakistan is now yet to win a T20 International on Australian soil since 2010, the wait continues after their dramatic loss by one run to Zimbabwe #PakvsZim #T20WorldCup #PAKvZIM #cricket
