Watch: South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada claimed an excellent catch diving forward to see off Hardik Pandya, with Lungi Ngidi claiming his fourth wicket against India at the Perth Stadium.
With India already in trouble at 49-4, Ngidi banged in a short delivery to Pandya, facing his third ball after picking up two singles. He attempted to register his first boundary, hitting an aerial pull shot into the leg-side.
He connected well, rolling his wrists on the ball in an attempt to keep it down. But he didn’t account for the athleticism of Rabada, who sprinted in and dived forward, plucking the ball inches from the turf.
“He reads it like a book,” Eoin Morgan said on ICC commentary. “Outstanding. Absolutely outstanding.”
