Watch: Fan footage caught in the aftermath of Zimbabwe’s shock one-run win over Pakistan shows Shadab Khan down on his knees in disappointment after his all-round efforts went in vain.

Pakistan are on the cusp of early elimination after a shock defeat to Zimbabwe on Thursday. Led by Mohammad Wasim Jr and Shadab Khan, who picked up seven wickets between them, Zimbabwe were restricted to 130-8 in their first innings. An easy chase turned into a catastrophe as regular wickets meant Pakistan were reduced to 94-6.

Shadab, who had walked out at No.5, stuck around for 14 deliveries, hitting one six en route to a knock of 17. However, he fell victim to Sikandar Raza as Pakistan fell deeper into trouble. The side eventually lost by one run and are winless in the edition thus far.

The all-rounder was distraught after the narrow loss and sunk down on his knees near the dressing room with his face in his hands. He had to be supported by a member of the Pakistan support staff before walking back to the change room. Fans were heard screaming “koi baat nahi [it’s okay, doesn’t matter]” in a bid to cheer him up.
