Watch: Najibullah Zadran hit an outrageous 103-metre hit during his knock of 59 against Scotland.
Afghanistan’s batters hit 11 sixes against Scotland, three of which came from the willow of Najibullah Zadran. But the enterprising batter went all in during Scotland pacer Safyaan Sharif’s final over. He had already hit the bowler for a brilliant 100 metre six in the 16th over of the Afghan innings, but went better here.
Off the penultimate ball of the Afghanistan innings, Najibullah once again targeted the seamer. The length by Sharif was slightly fuller, and Zadran made full use of it. He hit the ball with all his might, and it ended up clearing the roof.
Pommie Mbangwa, was ecstatic, “Well, you don’t run for those! Najib with a monster.”
With a recorded distance of 103 metres, the six was the biggest hit in the tournament so far.
