This will be the seventh T20 World Cup appearance for the West Indies. They have won the tournament twice, and are currently the reigning world champions in the format.
The West Indies side will be led by experienced all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who will be assisted by Nicholas Pooran. The Men in Maroon will look to repeat their magic in the seventh edition of the T20 World Cup as well.
West Indies are placed in Group 1 of the main stage of the tournament. They will open their account against England on October 24. They will also face South Africa, Australia, and two sides which will qualify from Groups A and B.

West Indies squad news and updates
Veteran fast bowler Ravi Rampaul has been recalled to the squad. Roger Harper has stated that Ravi has been picked as he can be a wicket-taking option. Roston Chase is another new face in the squad, having been picked up for his batting as well as bowling ability.
On October 20, Fabian Allen was ruled out of the tournament due to an ankle injury. Akeal Hosein, one of the reserve players, has been added to the squad. In turn, Gudakesh Motie is added to the reserves.
