Sri Lanka will host Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series from January 6 – here’s where to watch the series SL vs ZIM live, including TV channel and live streaming details.

Sri Lanka v Zimbabwe 2024: ODI Schedule

The first match will be played on January 6 followed by the second ODI on January 8 before the final fixture of the series takes place on January 11. R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo will conduct all the encounters.

The two teams are set to reconvene for the first time since Sri Lanka toppled Zimbabwe in a Super Six match of the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, thanks to Maheesh Theekshana’s 4-25 However, this is the first time they will meet in a bilateral series since the tourists visited the Island nation in 2022 and went down 1-2.

SL vs ZIM 2024: Team news

Zimbabwe will be captained by Craig Ervine instead of injured regular skipper Sean Williams, while Kusal Mendis will embark on his journey of being Sri Lanka’s full-time ODI captain after succeeding Dasun Shanaka in that role.

In the history of the format, Sri Lanka hold an edge over their opponents, prevailing on 47 occasions, Zimbabwe, meanwhile, have won only twice.

Ahead of the curtain-raiser match, the home side faced a massive blow as batter Pathum Nissanka was ruled out of the series after being hospitalised with a suspected dengue infection. Uncapped top-order batter Shevon Daniel was named as his replacement.
