Temba Bavuma will lead South Africa - here is the complete South Africa v West Indies squads for the ODI series
by Wisden Staff 1 minute read

South Africa will host the West Indies in a three-match ODI series beginning on March 16 – here are details for SA vs WI ODIs streaming.

After beating the West Indies 2-0 in the Test series, South Africa will now host them for three ODIs, in Buffalo Park, East London (on March 16 and 18) and Senwes Park, Potchefstroom (March 21). All matches will be played under floodlight.

While these matches will not be part of the World Cup Super League, they will allow both teams to figure out their best squads. With 78 points from 19 ODIs, South Africa are likely to qualify for the World Cup directly, while the West Indies (88 points in 24 matches) are almost set to feature in the Qualifiers.

South Africa will be led by Temba Bavuma, and will feature the likes of Quinton de Kock, Rassie van der Dussen, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Lungi Ngidi. Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, David Miller, and Heinrich Klaasen will be available only for the third match.

Led by Shai Hope, the West Indies boasts of senior cricketers like Roston Chase and Shannon Gabriel as well as former captains Jason Holder and Nicholas Pooran.

The teams last met in the 2019 World Cup, in Southampton. That match was abandoned after 7.3 overs of cricket. The teams have not met in a bilateral series since the West Indies’ tour of South Africa in 2014/15, a series the hosts won 4-1.

South Africa have won 44 of the 59 decided ODIs between the sides and lost 15.
