Watch: Cheteshwar Pujara posted another batting video of himself on social media after India’s collapse in the Cape Town Test, following up on his batting video from one week back.

Pujara, who has been out of the Indian Test side since the 2023 World Test Championship final, had posted a batting video in preparation for the Ranji Trophy after India’s loss at Centurion in the first Test.

Following India’s epic, world record collapse in Cape Town where they lost six wickets for no runs, Pujara has posted another video of himself batting in the nets.

Unlike the previous video, which included a single forward defence, Pujara can be seen playing attacking shots in his latest one, including sweeps and lofts down the ground.

The 2023/24 season of the Ranji Trophy, India’s premier first-class tournament, starts on January 5, with Saurashtra, the team which Pujara plays for, scheduled to play Jharkhand in Rajkot for their first game.

An infrequent poster of cricket videos, the timing of Pujara’s last two batting videos have been interesting given that they have come after India’s defeat in Centurion and their batting collapse in Cape Town with many people raising questions over the first-class credentials of the batters currently in the Test team.
