Temba Bavuma and Kagiso Rabada have been given a break for the white-ball leg as South Africa have named their ODI, T20I and Test squad for the home series against India from December 10.

South Africa have rested captain Temba Bavuma and veteran fast-bowler Kagiso Rabada, among other senior members, from the white-ball leg of the India series to keep them fresh ahead of the two Test matches. Aiden Markram will lead the white-ball side in both ODIs and T20Is in the absence of Bavuma.

Gerald Coetzee, Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi will miss the final T20I and the entire ODI series. Anrich Nortje, meanwhile, still hasn’t recovered enough to be considered for selection.

While left-arm pace-bowling all-rounder Nandre Burger and batters David Bedingham and Tristan Stubbs have earned their maiden berths in South Africa’s Test squad, wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne, who last featured in a Test match against Australia in January, has been recalled.
