The BCCI and CSA have announced the fixtures list for India‘s 2023/24 tour of South Africa, which will contain three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests.
The Freedom Series for the Gandhi-Mandela Trophy, featuring two Tests, will be preceded by the white-ball leg, with matches set to take place in South Africa in December 2023 and January 2024.
It includes the Boxing Day Test (December 26 to 30), which will open the Test series and will be played in Centurion.
The tour will be India’s ninth in South Africa, ever since their readmission to cricket in 1992. India last toured South Africa in 2021/22, with South Africa winning the Test series 2-1 and the ODIs 3-0.
The tournament will follow the 2023 ODI World Cup, which will finish on November 19 in Ahmedabad.
The Test series will be part of the 2023-25 World Test Championship cycle, one of three overseas tours for India in the cycle.
