The Mumbaikar is in splendid form this season, having scored 937 runs at an average of 133.85 with four hundreds in the Ranji Trophy so agar, and continued his run in the final, hitting 134, his seventh first-class hundred. Walking in to bat with Mumbai at 147-3, Sarfaraz anchored the innings to perfection, with 13 fours and two sixes ensuring the team reached 374.
The highlight was a smart four against Anubhav Agarwal that saw Sarfaraz go down on both his knees before rolling over on his back. The fuller-length ball was bowled outside the off stump, and the batter immediately went down to scoop it over for a four behind the keeper.
