All four Ranji Trophy 2022/23 quarter-finals are set to start this week – here is the full schedule for the knockout round of the competition.

With the league stage of the first-class tournament now completed, all eight spots have been filled for the next round of competition set to kick-off on Tuesday January 31. The winners of each of the four groups will play one of the second placed teams from the other three groups in order to decide who should continue to the semi-finals, set to take place between February 8-11.

Karnataka emerged from the group stages with the most points of any team (35), they are unbeaten in the competition so far having drawn three of their matches and won the other four. They will face Uttarakhand in Bengaluru, who are also undefeated so far but having drawn one more of their matches than Karnataka.

Plenty of records have been broken so far in the competition, the first full edition since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Jaydev Unadkat took a hat-trick in the first over of Saurashtra’s match against Delhi, the first bowler to do so in the first over of a Ranji Trophy fixture. That came after he took three wickets on his return to the India Test side following a 12-year wait since his first Test match. Prithvi Shaw also hit the competition’s second-highest ever individual score and the highest for a Mumbai batter, smashing 379 from 383 balls.
